I'm a 40 year old woman and live in the U.S. I'm asexual and celibate, queer, and a European-American convert to Islam. This blog is a place for me to share information of interest on asexuality, LGBTQ issues, queer Muslim topics, feminism, and other subjects I think are worthwhile.
In Western societies, Muslims may develop their own nuanced rapprochement with the LGBT community, under the rubric of pluralism and civil rights if not religious reimagining. It is notable that the two Muslims in the U.S. Congress, Reps. Keith Ellison of Minnesota and André Carson of Indiana, are members of the LGBT Equality Caucus.

Note that both Rep. Ellison and Rep. Carson are African Americans, which busts a few more stereotypes.
